The Advisory Ballot taken during recent informational meetings on the Annex indicated a preference for selling the Annex property either with the existing residence in place or with it removed. The Board appointed a three-member Task Force to explore both of these options in more detail with instructions to bring back specific recommendations. Task Force members are Jerald Dodson, B & G Chair, and Board Members, Don Melnick and John Tafejian. Jerald and Don are retired civil engineers and John is a property manager with considerable real estate experience.

Since early this month the Task Force has been hard at work; a plan of action has been developed and investigatory work is underway. The schedule is to report back to the Board at a Special Board Meeting on a yet to be set date in late July. If the Board concurs with Task Force recommendations and opts to recommend the sale of the property, a Special Congregation Meeting will be scheduled in August at which time this action will be discussed and voted on. Expect to hear more about this as that time approaches.

Since considerable trash was left in the Annex when unauthorized residents were asked to leave earlier this year, Steve Tilley of Building and Grounds is scheduling a cleanout effort for the Annex for July 1. Please contact Steve if you are able to help.

All Board Members took the time to inspect the Annex during their retreat on June 17. Inspection tours are available for any congregation members wishing to do so. Anyone interested should contact Jerald or Don to schedule an appointment.
