Joining a new community may come with a lot of questions, everything from how to get a regular nametag to how to find connections and friends. Often the most effective way to get connected is just to attend not only the Sunday worship but also try some of our small groups and other programs. There are many programs that are drop in and open to newcomers.
Additionally we have some tools to help newcomers:
- A Monthly Newcomer News flyer that seeks to explain what is happening at OUUC without insider language or jargon
- Newcomer Buddies – a newcomer can ask for and be matched with long time member of OUUC to have a “buddy” to help navigate OUUC. Request a buddy match by contacting Rev Sara.
And our Director of Community and Faith Development, Rev Sara Lewis, is always happy to meet newcomers to answer your questions and help you find your way.
