This Fall we will mark our congregational ingathering as OUUC has done for many years and as Unitarian Universalist churches all around the country do so. This year feels both the same and different.
Last September we were still sheltering at home, waiting for vaccines, looking at a year of Zoom. This year, many are vaccinated, and we are facing a variant. School and many other things are in-person, and we still have lots of Zoom.
Yet it’s the same. We will gather to mingle our individual waters into the water of community, our water communion. The Weekly Update is filled with classes and gatherings, groups and meetings. The congregational year begins once again.
With so much in flux and uncertain, we can count on the turning of the wheel as the seasons change, and we can count on this community. We are better together.
I hope to see some of you at the Sunday service. You can attend in person with registration, which you can do here. I hope to see more of you at the Drive Through and Scavenger Hunt at noon. (There will be prizes!)
Blessings on your week.

The president of the Unitarian Universalist Association, Rev. Dr. Susan Fredrick-Gray, sent the message below for in gathering. May you find meaning in her words of comfort and inspiration.
