The Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation was one of the founding faith communities for Camp Quixote. Many of you who were at OUUC in the early 2010s helped shelter, feed, and care for vulnerable community members in the church parking lot. Since then, Quixote Villages has provided tiny homes to more than 100 people.
OUUC will be recognized by Quixote Communities at a fundraising event on Saturday, September 17 from 6:30-9:30 pm at Olympia’s Hands on Children’s Museum. They’ll have music from Vendredi’s Bag, food and drinks from the Crowded Kitchen, updates on the three villages, and recognition of the faith-based communities that hosted and supported Camp Quixote.
Please plan to join me at this event to support the current work of Quixote Communities as they look forward to Tiny Homes, Big Future.
General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Quixote Villages event page: https://www.quixotecommunities.org/events.html If you would like to attend and the ticket price is a barrier, please contact me; I’ll make sure you can attend.
Hope to see you there.
