There is one more opportunity this week to learn more about, and comment on, a proposed revised Governance Manual for OUUC. The existing Manual was adopted about eight years ago as we embarked on “Policy Governance.” Since then we have changed our fiscal year, grappled with policy development, and struggled with new processes. We have learned a lot.
So, last Fall the Board made as one of its priorities for this year a revision of the existing Manual. That draft is ready for review and Comment by the Congregation. The drafting team of Jeff Goltz, Susan Moon, and Fritz Wrede believe that while the new draft adheres to the general approach to governance articulated in the existing Manual, it does so more clearly and efficiently.
There will be a listening session this Thursday, April 25, 6:45 pm, at the church (after the Thursday evening community dinner).
